A professional music artist since 1975, my first CDs were released in 1994.

Since 2009, I've been selling music on iTunes, Spotify and other worldwide websites. But those sites require artists to use aggregators and those aggregators either underpay or don't pay.

Until websites such as iTunes, Spotify and other worldwide sites allow artists to upload directly and pay artists directly, artists must create their own website.

Only with their own website, can an artist control his uploads and takedowns.

Article 8 WIPO World Copyright Treaty is legal authority for artists' rights to control uploads and takedowns of their online digital content. Country signatories are therefore obligated to update their individual Copyright Acts to bring them in line with Article 8 WIPO World Copyright Treaty.

An independent artist website is the only way an artist/author/composer can control his uploads and takedowns of online digital content. It is the only way an artist can prevent economic exploitation by websites and aggregators whose wealth is built upon our creative work. Only with an independent website controlled by the artist, can an artist ensure that he is paid for sales of streams and downloads of his online digital content.

Thus, via aggregators, I have issued takedown notices to all worldwide online websites.

From this point forward, my music and video releases will appear only on my Geologist websites and nowhere else.
